THe IAAM championship concluded today at Oregon Ridge with our girls closing out the season in incredible fashion. As she's done all season, Kristen Kohles lead the team and is our newest individual conference champion. Adria Pirozzi took 4th and Ellie Marindin took 5th. Holly Driver, Amanda Spaeth, Alex Gromacki, and Faith Ensor were all also near the top in the conference. The result was an easy team victory for the girls beating 2nd place McDonogh and 3rd place Mt. DeSales by a comfortable margin.
In the open race, Elizabeth Driver lead the team with a 4th place finish. Taylor Hoch and Beth Sapitowicz also ran very well in the open race. The rest of the team who ran in the meet include Cara Wolfarth, Hanna LeBuhn, Emma Imbierowicz, Erin Cadden, Rachel Amrhein, Leah Monaghan, Elizabeth Butz, Alyssa Whitehead, Tona Rimpel, Dani Long, Christina Giovanazi, Grace Mottley, and Rebecca Williams.
In addition to the race, the league gives an award called the Leader of the Pack to one four year cross country runner. This year's award was won by Amanda Spaeth.
We have one more meet left in the season. Along with the guys, we'll be running in the MD/DC Private School's Championships next Saturday
