This year starts the first of the John Carroll International Student Mentoring Program. The program pairs together American students with International Students, so as to form cultural partnerships and exchanges, to offer support to International Students in their adjustment to American high school life, and to offer a means for deeper, more meaningful friendships and relationships amongst students who meet at John Carroll from across the globe.
The program currently has 26 mentor/mentee pairs. Each pair is required to meet outside of school once a month to take part in a shared activity and get to know each other. Our students have enjoyed activities such as mini-golf, John Carroll athletic events, shopping and paintballing together. It is exciting for the entire school community to see students serve one another, learn from one another and form lasting friendships in the process!
