Come out and see The John Carroll Tree, sponsored by the Romero Club, at the 2013 8th Annual Festival of Trees
Celebrate the 8th annual Chesapeake Cancer Alliance Festival of Trees, a two (2) day Christmas wonderland of beautifully decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses. Holiday boutiques, crafts, fresh greens, refreshments and children's crafts and games will be featured on Saturday November 30 and Sunday December 1, 2013. Scheduled events include a Wine Down, a Family Breakfast with Santa, storytime with Mrs. Claus and a puppet show.
The Bel Air Armory will be filled with beautiful, decorated trees ranging in sizes from miniature to 7 feet tall. An added attraction this year is everlasting wreaths. Local community organizations, businesses, and designers have donated, designed and decorated the trees and wreaths. A silent auction of the trees will be held all weekend, ending December 1, 2013 at 3 p.m.
Special events and activities are featured for the entire family, including decorated Gingerbread houses on display, fresh greens and wreaths, bake table, live entertainment and a lunch cafe and gift boutiques. Face painting, craft activities and a puppet show are planned for children.
The 2013 CCA Festival of Trees benefits Upper Chesapeake Health's Cancer LifeNet Programs which offer prevention, education, counseling and supportive care services to cancer patients and their families.
