JC students, accompanied by Mrs. Zurkowski, Mrs. Michael and Mr. Baran, are visiting locations in Great Britain and Ireland during Easter spring break. Their journey includes Dublin, the Lake District of England, Wales, Edinburgh, York and London.
The group visited St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, enjoyed a surprise visit from Rodney Johnson at the hotel, and went to Easter Vigil Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church. While in the Lake District of England they visited William Wordsworth's cottage, then climbed around a Roman fort at Hadrian's Wall. They enjoyed pastoral scenery with foggy lake, night yellow daffodils, sheep grazing, and bountiful stone walls lining winding country roads as well as castles, cathedrals, and beautiful English countryside along the way. Mrs. Zurkowski reports, "There are 16 students with us and we are having gorgeous weather with no rain. Not ordinary for Great Britain. We are busy every minute of the tour seeing history, enjoying literary hotspots, and experiencing the English, Irish, and Scottish culture.
