Putting into practice the many teachings they have received from their dedicated religion teachers on social justice and helping the least of these, 17 seniors wrapped up their Senior Project this week in Roatan, Honduras, serving at the Sandy Bay Ministry Lighthouse Children's Home. The home has over 20 orphans from age 3 to 15 who have come from some very difficult places. While in Honduras, the team, lead by Jake and Amy Hollin both 1992 graduates of JC, built a massive chicken enclosure and coop for the home to now support 30 chickens, visited the less fortunate in the community bringing basic supplies and food, and spent a large portion of their time sharing their gifts with the children - in everything from music, to seeing, to art work, to playing different sports. The 17 Patriots not only represented their families, the John Carroll School, but our Faith, in giving back to those in need while also receiving continual blessings through a week full of unconditional love (and lots and lots of hugs).

The team returned home on Monday, May 23, and will jump right in to presenting their work to Senior Project evaluation boards made up of community members who will get to hear about the Kingdom building work that our Patriots have been up to this week.
