At the final Speech & Debate tournament on March 13, 2014, John Carroll entered thirteen students in seven different events. By the end of the exhausting three-round meet, JC had captured six ribbons, providing a thrilling finish to a great season The First Place Champion in Harford County in 2013-2014 in Children’s Literature goes to sophomore Kelly Foulk. JC's four Second Place ribbons went to Beni Tasel in Dramatic Interp, Margaret McGuirk in Prose, Megan Greig in Original Oratory, and Jessie Clingerman and Justin Hawkins in Team Debate, with Matt Becker and Kishan Patel earning Third Place in Team Debate. Also competing for John Carroll were Casey Reil, Kayla Bynion, Lily Liu, Seho Kim, and Preston Thomson. Congratulations to all Speech & Debate team members and their Faculty Advisor, Mr. Bob Schick, for an outstanding season. Go Patriots!
