TV Production students had a great opportunity to observe the pros in action at FOX45 on May 22nd. The students were excited to see how the news team handled breaking news - being there just as the tornado alerts were coming in, and witnessing reporters interrupting regular programming to cover developments. Jeff Barnd (father of Abby ’16, and lead anchor at FOX Baltimore) was enormously helpful and gracious in taking the JC group around the station, introducing them to producers, reporters, anchors, and techies. They packed several JC students into the control room, with the other half on the set, just as the weather story was breaking. Thanks to Mr. Barnd and FOX45 News for a very worthwhile and memorable experience. video link
