The Boys Varsity Soccer Team filled Boxes of Hope for Remember the Children. Team members filled the small boxes with simple gifts...Christmas gifts...for boys and girls who need the hope of Jesus. All boxes will be delivered to the forgotten children of Romania.
Thanks to Coach Fendryk and the Boys Varsity Soccer team for being team players in the JC P.A.S. S. Ministry (Patriot Acts of Students Serving)! Please see the thank you note received from the President of Remember the Children:
I am extremely grateful to the John Carroll School for their participation in Boxes of Hope. We are in the process of counting, sorting, and packing this week. Everything will leave Baltimore on October 6, and arrive in Romania on November 17. After it clears Customs, it is then transferred to our warehouse in the city of Oradea in northwest Romania by November 24. The majority of the boxes will go to orphaned children in Bihor, Salaj, and Satu Mare Counties. I have three teams with a total of 48 volunteer workers from the United States serving with us from November 28 – December 20, distributing the boxes. It is truly the highlight of the year for our organization, because it does so much to lift the hopes and dreams of the orphaned and abandoned. The Epistle of St. James in chapter one, verse twenty-seven tells us “to visit the fatherless in their tribulation.” Thank you for allowing the students to help make that a reality to many children in Romania.
