This marks our twenty-first year of exchanging with Colegio Nuestra Señora de los Infantes! Twenty-three students from Toledo and their teacher, María Ángeles, arrived on August 25 to spend three weeks with Spanish students from John Carroll and their moderator, Mrs. Jane Michael. It was a very busy way to spend the first three weeks of school, but proved to be a great experience for both our students and the Spaniards. The John Carroll families outdid themselves by taking our guests on vacations to the ocean and New York City, including them in family celebrations and hosting parties. While at school, the exchange students attended classes with their hosts and visited Spanish classes to talk to our students about their school in Toledo. JC Faculty accompanied the group on their excursions to DC, Baltimore, NYC, Philadelphia, Annapolis and Lancaster. Mr. Scholl also invited the group to his home for a Native American day.
Very soon, our students will be getting ready to complete the exchange by traveling to Toledo to stay with their new Spanish friends. They will be attending classes, including students in the pre-school, middle and high school. If you would like to know more about Colegio Infantes, check out their website! www.colegioinfantes.com
