International parents traveled from three continents - Asia, Europe, and South America – to join us for John Carroll’s International Parent Weekend, January 4 - 6, 2014. The weekend began with a reception and dinner for our international parents and local families hosting their children. The families spent the evening getting to know each other while enjoying a wonderful meal and music performed by talented members of John Carroll’s acapella group, Bella Voce, string quartet, and pianist Leo LI. The following day international parents spent a very busy day on campus. Parents took a campus tour, observed classes, had individual meetings with College Counselor Mrs. Siemsen, attended a luncheon and presentation given by President O’Hara, and ended the day with the opportunity to speak with faculty members. Before leaving the area, many of the international parents had the opportunity to do some sightseeing and visit the homes of the local families hosting their children.
