The two JC Robotics teams competed in a FIRST Robotics Qualifier at the US Naval Academy on January 12th and were able to place 12th and 18th out of 26 teams. Members of team 8158--Tom Yang, Henry Zhang, Kevin Yin, Sean Campbell, Robin Jiang, Darrius Pirozzi, and Wilson Pais--were among the team that placed 12th. Members of team 4126--Austin Schap, Matt walker, Alex English and Marc Griffin-- placed 18th. Each team and student did an outstanding job in the competition and are now in the process of making proper adjustments to their robots for the February 9th Maryland Qualifier at Marriott's RidgeHigh School in HowardCounty. Special thanks to Margaret Beain, mother of two JC grads, for all her help and support during the past six months of preparing for the competitions.
