Sixteen students and their teacher, María Ángeles Dueñas, arrived on August 25, to begin another year of our Spanish Exchange. The group comes to us from Colegio Nuestra Señora de los Infantes – a Catholic, co-ed, pre-kindergarten to college prep school in Toledo, Spain. John Carroll has been exchanging with Colegio Infantes every year since September of 1995.
While the group was here, they visited Spanish classes, attended other classes with their host students, traveled to New York City, D.C., Baltimore, Lancaster, Philadelphia and Annapolis. They also enjoyed a wonderful farewell party at the home of Mitchell Hubbard, one of our host students.
This is a great program for the Spaniards and for our students. Many of our families, students and faculty are involved in making this an enjoyable experience. Mrs. Michael and her students plan to return to Toledo in late January for our part of the exchange.
