The John Carroll School Faculty Award is given to students who have consistently made a positive contribution to their classes, have upheld the values of this school, and have given unselfish service in keeping with the spirit of a Catholic institution.

The John Carroll School Scholarship Awards
Al Cesky Nominees - Emily Baranoski and Max Snellenburg
Each year John Carroll nominates one male and one female student-athlete for the Al Cesky scholarship recognizing exceptional student athletes.
James E. Long Award - Katelyn Bullock and Hamilton Sullivan
The James E. Long Award goes to two graduating seniors who have shown the most academic improvement and effort in their four years at The John Carroll School.
Larry Hetzel Volleyball Leadership Award - Austin Shorts
The Kutcher Foundation established this scholarship to honor Coach Hetzel who impacted many lives at John Carroll. It is awarded to a graduating senior on the boys volleyball team whose leadership skills were greatly influenced by their experience with the volleyball program.
Michael B. Brady White Cap Award - Christa Savitsky
Michael B. Brady White Cap Award is given to a graduating senior who excels in creative writing.
John Carroll Parent Association Scholarship - Mia Rosso and Ryan Fabriziani
The John Carroll Parent Association scholarships are awarded to students whose applications show the most participation in extra-curricular activities, willingness to participate in service opportunities, support of John Carroll and parent involvement.
Student Government Association Awards
SGA Leadership Award - Isabelle Wilson and Max Snellenburg
The SGA Leadership award is awarded to two seniors that demonstrate exemplary leadership and character in accordance with the values of The John Carroll School.
SGA Unsung Hero Award - Mark Ghattas
SGA Unsung Hero Award is awarded to seniors who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and character, but they are more behind the scenes and do the work that is often unseen and unrecognized by the larger community.

Academic/Athletic Award - Sydney Queen and Max Snellenburg
The John Carroll Academic/Athletic Award is given to the seniors who represent the finest qualities of academic and athletic achievement.
Academic/Fine Arts Award - Gianna Houck and Holden Loder
The John Carroll Academic/Fine Arts Award is given to the seniors who represent the finest qualities of academic and fine arts achievement.
School Spirit Award - Gabrielle Spencer and Jeremy Biggerman
The John Carroll School Spirit Award is given to the senior male and female who have made the greatest contribution in the area of school spirit and involvement.
Service and Outreach Award - Patrick Simms
The Service and Outreach Medal goes to the senior who earned a total of 1,569 service hours. This students serves as a volunteer firefighter at the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Department where he has responded to house fires, car accidents, and brush fires, maintained equipment and necessary training, and assisted at company events.
Academic Awards
English Department Award - Abby Leslie and Nicholas Ciampaglio
The English Department awards its prize to a senior with a high cumulative average, who displays an enthusiasm for and a love of literature, as well as excellence in writing.
College Preparatory Dance Program Award - Alita Pirozzi
The student who personifies dance. The definition of dance goes beyond the stage, the spotlight, and the applause. It includes the dance of life off-stage. The constant daily discipline that demands total commitment to pursuing excellence in her artform, while maintaining humility and grace.
Music Award - Kay Lani Morgan
For active involvement and participation in vocal or instrumental music and for expressing a positive attitude and encouraging success in others.
The Patriot Medal - Isabelle Wilson
For dedication in managing and producing the school newspaper.
The Pinnacle Medal - Anthony Golabiewski
The Pinnacle medal is presented to the senior who has demonstrated commitment, responsibility, and dedication as a member of the Pinnacle staff.
Theatre Arts Awards - Jillian Connolly and Jeremy Biggerman
The Theatre Arts award is given to the students who have contributed the most overall to the theatre program and who best exemplify the spirit of the award by tireless effort, cooperation, leadership, and creativity.
Visual Arts Award - McKenna Smith
The Visual Arts Award is presented to a senior, who, on review of a portfolio, has shown outstanding effort, enthusiasm and leadership in the visual arts.
Mathematics Medal - Jason Yan
For exceptional interest, consistently good attitude, and high academic performance in the field of Mathematics during his four years at The John Carroll School.
Religion Medal - Gianna Houck
The Religion medal is awarded to a senior who has maintained a 90% average during his or her John Carroll years. In addition to academic excellence, the department also considered community service, parish commitment, and personal life-style in making the selection.
Eagle of the Cross - Alexander Mullin
The Eagle of the Cross is an award for youth and young adults sponsored by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry. The award is given to a youth or young adult who best exemplifies apostolic mission, Christian Leadership, and moral integrity.
Science Medal - Jason Yan
The Science Department award is presented to the student who demonstrates the ability and willingness to work independently. This student has shown a consistently good attitude and spirit of cooperation, high achievement, and exceptional interest in the sciences.
Social Studies Medal - Ryan Fabriziani
The Social Studies Department recognizes one Senior who exhibits positive citizenship in and out of school. The award requires four years of study in the Social Sciences, an expectation of high academic standards and “proper appreciation for the principles and practices of social studies inquiry.”
French Medal - Blair Mergerian and Darvin Figueroa Cortes
The French medal is awarded for excellence in the conscientious study of the French language for four years.
German Medal - Joseph Keller
The German medal is awarded for excellence in the conscientious study of the German language for four years.
Spanish Medal - Austin Shorts
The Spanish medal is awarded for excellence in the conscientious study of the Spanish language for four years.
Academic Team Award - Stephen Snyder
The Academic Team Award is given to the Team member who has shown the most commitment, dedication, and success on the John Carroll Academic Team.
Robotics Award - Jason Yan
The Robotics Award is presented to the senior who has shown outstanding effort and leadership in robotics design, build, and competition throughout the year. This student has consistently displayed a constructive attitude and has demonstrated a continued interest in attaining and developing his/her mechanical and technical skills.
